NBA Krillion is a basketball trivia game where the unexpected name wins. Answer seven NBA prompts, take a long shot, and play again whenever you feel like it.
How to play NBA Krillion
- 01
Read the matchup
Each round gives you an NBA prompt about teams, draft picks, or career milestones. Read its note carefully, then find a player who fits before time runs out.
- 02
Name your player
Type a player’s name and select a suggestion, or enter a full name and press Shoot. You have 25 seconds, and a rejected answer leaves you time to try again.
- 03
Go beyond the obvious
A correct answer earns 4 to 100 points. Less familiar names can send your shot farther, so think of the role players and old teammates behind the superstars.
- 04
Run it back
Finish all seven prompts to see your score, shooting range, and answer recap. Share your result or start a fresh basketball Krillion game with no daily wait.
Basketball knowledge. A different kind of shot.
This basketball Krillion game rewards the names you almost forgot. Team connections, draft nights, and career milestones turn a familiar sport into a new quiz.
A superstar is often a valid answer, but a lesser-known player may be worth more. Read the conditions, trust your memory, and find your own way down the court.
Long Shot Krillion, without the daily wait.
Looking for a long shot hoops game you can keep playing? Each run deals seven prompts from our historical NBA bank, with a new game ready as soon as you finish.
Play one round of seven over a coffee or settle in for a longer session. There is no daily board to unlock, no streak to protect, and no cap on fresh attempts.
How a rare answer becomes a long shot.
Each question ranks its valid players using career points, games played, and All-Star selections. Those fixed ranks become six point tiers, from 4 through 100.
The result is a consistent challenge, not a live popularity poll. The same player can earn different points across prompts because the answer pool changes.
| Your shot | Points | Distance |
|---|---|---|
| Layup | 4 | 40 ft |
| Free throw | 8 | 80 ft |
| Jump shot | 16 | 160 ft |
| Three-pointer | 32 | 320 ft |
| Deep cut | 64 | 640 ft |
| Long shot | 100 | 1,000 ft |
NBA Krillion questions, answered.
What is NBA Krillion Long Shot?
NBA Krillion Long Shot is a basketball guessing game about naming uncommon players. Match names to seven prompts and score more points for less obvious answers.
How do you play basketball Krillion?
Read the prompt, type an NBA player’s name, and press Shoot within 25 seconds. One correct answer ends the round; finish seven rounds to see your final score.
Is this NBA Krillion game unlimited?
Yes. Every game on Play Unlimited has unlimited replays. Finish a run, select Play again, and get another set of seven NBA prompts without waiting for tomorrow.
How are long shots scored?
Answers earn 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, or 100 points using fixed career-based tiers. Each point adds 10 feet to your range, with up to 7,000 feet across seven rounds.
Are rarity scores based on other players’ guesses?
No. Scores use a fixed estimate based on career points, games, and All-Star selections. They reflect our scoring model, not live answer percentages or a survey.
What makes an answer a deep cut?
A deep cut is a correct player with a less prominent career profile within the prompt’s answer pool. Former bench players can outscore the names everyone knows.
Which NBA seasons and players count?
The answer bank covers regular seasons through 2024–25, including early BAA history. ABA statistics, playoff totals, and later seasons are outside this version.
Do earlier franchise names count?
Yes. Franchise prompts include earlier team names, so Seattle counts for Oklahoma City. Charlotte and New Orleans have separate histories in our question bank.
What happens if I enter a wrong answer?
An incorrect answer does not end your round or subtract points. The shot clock keeps running, so check the prompt and try a different player before it expires.
What happens when the shot clock runs out?
When the 25-second clock reaches zero, that round scores no points. You can view its answer board, then move on to the next prompt and keep your earlier points.
Do I need exact spelling?
Accents, punctuation, and case do not matter. Name suggestions help with spelling, and common aliases are accepted. Pick a full name if a surname is shared.
Can I use nicknames like Steph or Shaq?
Common aliases such as Steph Curry, Shaq, and KD are supported. For an unfamiliar nickname, use a player’s full name or choose a name from the suggestion list.
Can I see the answers after each round?
Yes. Open the answer board after you shoot, skip, or run out of time. It lists every accepted player for the prompt with their points, from rare names to stars.
What is a perfect NBA long shot score?
The maximum is 700 points: one 100-point answer on each of seven prompts. That gives you a 7,000-foot range, but every correct answer adds distance to your run.
How can I get better at the long shot game?
Think beyond franchise stars. Recall traded veterans, short team stints, and older draft classes. A name only helps when it meets every condition in the prompt.
Is NBA Krillion free to play?
Yes. This NBA Krillion game is free in your browser, with no account or app download. Play a quick seven-round run or keep returning for unlimited attempts.
Can I play on my phone or with a keyboard?
Yes. Use your phone’s keyboard or play on a computer. Arrow keys move through name suggestions, Enter selects or shoots, and Escape closes the suggestion list.
Are my best score and results saved?
Your best score and completed-game count are saved in this browser. They do not sync across devices, and clearing the site’s browser data removes those records.
Is this the official NBA or nbakrillion.com game?
No. This is an independent basketball quiz game on Play Unlimited. It is not affiliated with the NBA, its teams, nbakrillion.com, or the original Krillion game.
Can I play the same prompts with a friend?
Copy the challenge link from your results to share the same seven prompts and fixed scores. Everyone plays separately; there is no live multiplayer room here.
The names behind the game.
The bank contains 840 prompts and 5,002 players, built from NBA and BAA regular seasons through 2024–25. Later seasons and live roster updates are not included.
Historical statistics come from Basketball-Reference via Sumitro Datta’s dataset. We build our own questions and score tiers from that frozen snapshot.
Career totals exclude traded-season duplicate rows, ABA stats, and playoffs. Scores estimate familiarity from games, points, and All-Star selections, not surveys.
